@green_angel05... yup mataas din naman ang literacy rate ng Pilipinas...literacy means able to read and write.. but the question is how they can use this kung understanding matters and
analytical thinking eh nahuhuli tayo.. i think yun ang kulang nating mga Pilipino...

@Ate Linsi... is closed-door pilicy means like a "Hermit kingdom" wherein foreign trading is restricted?

I was also asking kung katulad po ba ito ng Hermit Kingdom like what had happened to Korea?

i think the definition of literacy now has expanded meaning,it is  not only reading and writing

it is a condition or quality of being knowledgeable in a particular subject or field: cultural literacy; biblical literacy.

---------------
literacy is the "ability to identify, understand, interpret, create, communicate,
compute and use printed and written materials associated with varying contexts.
Literacy involves a continuum of learning in enabling individuals to achieve their goals,
to develop their knowledge and potential, and to participate fully
in their community and wider society."- -------------------- 8) 8) 8)---at yan ang kulang na kulang sa Pinas-- :-[

it's like going to school to study but not to learn- yung hindi na natuto-kahit degree holder pa
kahit state board passer pa or may doctorate whatever at ang pinagkaabalahan
